Content Removal & DMCA Policy

Last updated: February 2026

Overview

SearchOnly (searchonly.me) is a free, publicly accessible search engine that indexes publicly available profile information from the OnlyFans platform (onlyfans.com). Similar to how Google indexes web pages, SearchOnly crawls and catalogs publicly accessible creator profiles to help users discover content creators.

We do not host, store, distribute, or reproduce any copyrighted content, including but not limited to photos, videos, or other media published by creators behind paywalls. Our service displays only publicly available profile data: low-resolution thumbnail avatars, display names (rendered as images, not indexable text), and basic profile statistics that creators have voluntarily made public. We are committed to responding promptly to all legitimate content removal requests.

What We Index & What We Don't

SearchOnly indexes only publicly available information that creators have chosen to make visible to any internet user without requiring authentication or login. This includes:

  1. Public profile avatars and header images (displayed as low-resolution thumbnails)
  2. Display names (rendered as images to protect creator privacy from external search engines)
  3. Public profile statistics such as media counts and subscription pricing
  4. Profile categories and tags voluntarily set by creators

We do NOT index, store, or display:

  • Paywalled or subscription-only content of any kind
  • Private messages, interactions, or direct communications
  • Payment information, financial data, or transaction records
  • Any content that requires authentication or a subscription to access

Search Engine Nature & Fair Use

SearchOnly functions as an information location tool, identical in purpose to general-purpose search engines such as Google, Bing, Yahoo, and DuckDuckGo. We crawl and index publicly accessible web pages that creators have chosen to make available to the public on OnlyFans.com. We do not circumvent any access controls, authentication systems, or paywalls.

Our use of publicly available profile thumbnails constitutes fair use under 17 U.S.C. § 107. The thumbnails serve a transformative purpose (search and discovery), only low-resolution preview images are displayed, our service does not substitute for or compete with the original works, and our use has no negative market impact on creators — it serves to direct traffic to their official OnlyFans profiles.

DMCA Safe Harbor (17 U.S.C. § 512)

SearchOnly qualifies for safe harbor protection under Section 512(d) of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512) as an information location tool that refers or links users to online locations containing material. In compliance with the DMCA, we:

  1. Have designated an agent to receive notifications of claimed infringement
  2. Maintain and implement a policy for termination of repeat infringers
  3. Promptly remove or disable access to material upon receiving valid takedown notices
  4. Do not have actual knowledge that indexed material is infringing
  5. Do not receive a financial benefit directly attributable to any infringing activity

Filing a DMCA Takedown Notice

If you believe that material accessible through SearchOnly infringes your copyright, you may submit a DMCA takedown notice to our designated agent. To be effective under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3), your written notice must include all of the following:

  1. A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work(s) claimed to have been infringed
  3. Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing, with sufficient information to permit us to locate it (please provide the specific URL(s) on SearchOnly where the material appears)
  4. Your full legal name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address
  5. A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
  6. A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of the copyright that is allegedly infringed

Send your completed DMCA takedown notice to: [email protected]. Notices that do not substantially comply with these requirements may not receive a response.

Counter-Notification Procedure

If you believe that material was removed or access was disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification, you may submit a written counter-notification to our designated agent. Your counter-notification must include:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature
  2. Identification of the material that has been removed or to which access has been disabled, and the location at which the material appeared before it was removed or access was disabled
  3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification of the material
  4. Your full legal name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address
  5. A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district in which your address is located, or if outside the United States, any judicial district in which SearchOnly may be found
  6. A statement that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original notification or an agent of such person

Upon receipt of a valid counter-notification, we will promptly provide the original complainant with a copy. If the complainant does not file a court action seeking to restrain the allegedly infringing activity within 10–14 business days, we will restore the removed material.

Repeat Infringer Policy

In accordance with Section 512(i) of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, SearchOnly has adopted and reasonably implements a policy for the termination of users and account holders who are repeat infringers of copyright. We track notifications of claimed infringement and will terminate access for any individual or entity that is the subject of repeated valid DMCA takedown notices.

Creator Profile Removal

OnlyFans creators can request removal of their indexed profile from SearchOnly at any time, regardless of jurisdiction or legal basis. We honor all legitimate creator removal requests without requiring legal justification or a formal DMCA notice. To request removal, creators may:

  1. Use our online removal request form at searchonly.me/removal
  2. Send an email to [email protected] with the OnlyFans username and proof of profile ownership

We process creator removal requests within 24–48 hours. Once removed, the profile will no longer appear in SearchOnly search results.

EU Right to Erasure (GDPR Article 17)

Residents of the European Union and European Economic Area may exercise their right to erasure under Article 17 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). As a search engine indexing publicly available information, we honor removal requests where the data subject's fundamental rights and freedoms override legitimate interests in the continued processing of such data.

To exercise your right to erasure, contact [email protected] with your full name, the OnlyFans profile URL in question, proof that you are the data subject or authorized to act on their behalf, and the specific grounds under GDPR Article 17(1) on which you base your request. We process valid GDPR erasure requests within 30 days, in accordance with regulatory requirements.

International Requests

SearchOnly accepts content removal requests from all jurisdictions worldwide. In addition to the DMCA and GDPR frameworks described above, we comply with applicable local laws including:

  1. United Kingdom — UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018
  2. Canada — Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA)
  3. Australia — Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Privacy Amendment (Notifiable Data Breaches) Act 2017
  4. Brazil — Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados (LGPD)
  5. Japan — Act on the Protection of Personal Information (APPI)

For international removal requests, email [email protected] with relevant details and applicable legal basis. We review all international requests on a case-by-case basis under applicable local law.

Warning: Consequences of False Claims

Please be advised that under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material or activity is infringing, or that material or activity was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, may be subject to liability for damages, including costs and attorneys' fees incurred by the alleged infringer, the copyright owner, or the service provider.

Do not file a DMCA takedown notice unless you are the copyright owner or are expressly authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner. Do not file a counter-notification unless you have a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled by mistake. Filing a false claim is perjury and may result in civil and/or criminal liability.
